This study is concentrated on a rapprochement between computer language and Arabic Calligraphy, namely the square Kufi. Calligraphy is often integrated with geometric shapes or arabesque drawings creating complex compositions that are dif cult to decipher and whose purpose becomes an intellectual exercise. Arabic calligraphy hence exists with two distinct purposes that express its complexity or on the contrary its simplicity: it is a tool to provide high legibility when copying texts and as a complex geometrical visual. Dafqah is an interactive signage system based on the structural form of geometric Arabic calligraphy, namely the square Kufi. When the visitor enters the location, the signage interacts with the visitor and provides information that will guide him and facilitate his circulation in the space. The interactive signage alternates Information in both languages, English and Arabic. The writing became an intermediary that carries the viewer through the processing of information elaborated through the journey of the visitor in space.
